Billboard followed. Another Day Old debuted at No. 2 on Digital Song Sales, a chart of paid downloads, on the chart dated April 11, 2026. A week later The Years Between entered the Blues Albums chart at No. 1 and Eddie Dalton peaked at No. 5 on Emerging Artists. The album held No. 1 on Blues Albums for 10 weeks and was still on that chart, at No. 10 in its 28th week, on the chart dated October 24, 2026.

In the UK, Another Day Old reached No. 2 on the Official Singles Sales Chart, which counts downloads and physical sales but not streams. CMU pointed out that the song didn't make the main Official Singles Chart Top 100 that week, and that it had 1.73 million Spotify streams, with nearly 485,000 monthly listeners for the act: real numbers, but small next to the song at No. 2 on the main chart that week.

Both Eddie Dalton songs we tested scored as Likely AI-generated, among the highest scores in our tests. The result held when we re-encoded the preview: as MP3, as Opus, as AAC at 22 kHz and on Deezer's own MP3 preview, Another Day Old rounded to 1.00 every time. Even so, a score is a probability, not a verdict.
