Is IngaRose AI? The short answer
Yes, by its own account and according to the outlets that covered it. IngaRose's profiles say its songs are made with Suno, an AI music generator, and the press describes it as an AI-generated persona rather than a real singer. Both songs we checked scored high on our AI song checker: 0.99 for Celebrate Me and 0.96 for Feeling Good Today.
The act's claim is narrower than "fully AI", though. Its profiles say people write the lyrics and Suno makes or refines the music. And who runs IngaRose has never been publicly confirmed.
What IngaRose says about Suno and AI
IngaRose doesn't hide the tool. Its profiles name Suno; what they describe is a split of the work, with people writing the words and the generator handling the sound.
- Instagram. Showbiz411 and Dexerto quoted the bio in April 2026: lyrics written by people and based on real stories, with the stems and arrangement refined using Suno. The bio also invited singers who want to perform the songs to get in touch.
- TikTok. According to Forbes Colombia, the profile says Celebrate Me was composed with Suno and that its lyrics are human-written.
- Apple Music. Dexerto noted that Apple's listing gives the single's release date as March 31, 2026, on Myers Music, the imprint Billboard also shows.
Nobody outside the project can check that split. A person can write the words while a machine produces the voice and the band, so the act's own description and the label "AI-generated singer" can both be accurate at once.
Who is IngaRose? What has been reported
IngaRose has no confirmed person behind it. Forbes Colombia wrote that it was unclear who runs the persona, which had been releasing music since January 2026, and none of the coverage we read names a person. Its earliest single on Apple Music came out on January 17, 2026.
On screen, IngaRose is presented as a female R&B singer, with videos on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. None of the coverage we read identifies a real performer behind the face or the voice.
Celebrate Me on the iTunes and Billboard charts
Celebrate Me spread on TikTok and turned that attention into download sales. On April 17, 2026 it was No. 1 on the US and global iTunes charts, according to Dexerto, and Forbes Colombia counted No. 1 spots in the UK, France, Canada and New Zealand too, with five of the 100 best-selling US iTunes songs that afternoon by IngaRose. By then nearly 300,000 TikTok videos used the song.
Billboard's charts tell a more modest story. Celebrate Me debuted at No. 3 on Digital Song Sales, a chart of paid downloads, on the chart dated April 18, 2026, and was still at No. 3 two weeks later. IngaRose entered the Emerging Artists chart at No. 26 and climbed to No. 16 the following week. As Dexerto pointed out, the iTunes chart counts store sales, not streams, so a song can top it without leading on Spotify or Apple Music.
Bette Midler, Tyrese Gibson and the IngaRose debate
IngaRose returned to the news in August 2026. On August 21, Bette Midler posted on Instagram that a song on the charts was AI-generated and tagged the post #culturalgenocide; TheWrap and The Blast identified the song as Celebrate Me. Midler wrote that it was a good song, but said the machine that made it had taken every riff and phrasing style from thousands of human artists, with no compensation for them.
Tyrese Gibson took the other side in the comments, saying AI isn't going away, that he knew the song was AI and that it had still inspired him. Neither post adds evidence about how the song was made, but together they show how far the question has travelled beyond the charts. TheWrap counted more than 315,000 TikTok followers for IngaRose at the time.
What our AI song checker found on IngaRose
Both IngaRose songs we tested scored as Likely AI-generated on our checker. On Apple Music's 30-second previews, Celebrate Me scored 0.99 out of 1 in the tests behind our accuracy report on October 21, 2026, and Feeling Good Today scored 0.96 when we tested it for this page on October 22. Anything at 0.8 or above comes back as Likely AI-generated. Deezer also labels the Celebrate Me release as AI.
Celebrate Me was less steady than most AI songs in our tests when we re-encoded the preview. It scored 0.97 as Opus, 0.86 as MP3 and 0.93 on Deezer's own MP3 preview, but 0.53 as AAC at 22 kHz, which is in the checker's Can't tell range. That is a reminder that a score is a probability, not a verdict, and that the way a copy was encoded can move it.
If you check an IngaRose song yourself, pick the right artist. Apple Music also lists profiles called IngaRose Studio and IngaRose Sounds; the act behind Celebrate Me is artist ID 1869940837.
What this does and does not tell you
So, is IngaRose AI? Its own profiles credit Suno, the coverage describes an AI persona, and our scores point the same way. The case rests mainly on what the act and reporters have said; our checker adds evidence, not proof.
None of this shows who runs IngaRose, how much of each song a person shaped, or whether the lyrics really are written by people. Our checker only measures whether the audio carries the trace of a generator it knows, and it can be wrong, as the accuracy report shows. For other acts identified as AI, such as Eddie Dalton, see the list of AI artists; for the clues you can check yourself, read the guide to telling if a song is AI.
